This is an excellent training course with great labs, allowing in depth hands-on to the real Google Cloud platform. This alone allows for a better understanding of what's Google Cloud Infrastructure.

Thanks to Google and its team for producing such a wonderful training content. It was a breeze to know about GCP and core services even for a guy like me how has not been hands-on for over 20 years.

The course has been excellent with a very good introduction of the topics composing the module, going on depth regarding the aspects considered more important. Excellent as well all the six Labs composing the module and the corresponding Lab Reviews. I consider both very important for consolidating what explained in the Labs introduction and in the Labs Reviews done by the teacher. However my feeling is that a careful study of these topics entails the possibility to coming back to the Google Cloud Platform for repeating some steps already carried out during the Labs execution. Many aspects like Deployment Manager accessed via Marketplace-Jenkins or the Deployment Manager accessed from Infrastructure, or several sw tool like Apache, Git, Gradle, etc... met for the first time during the theory study or the Labs executions, sometimes need to be explored for a second time. Without leaving back the need to refresh, during the study of each module like during a Lab execution, to refresh some meanings like "Boot loader", "File system", "Kernel" and so on...Starting from this thought, I recommend to the Google courses organizers to give the student the fruitful opportunity to access again to the Google Cloud Platform for repeating, as reported above, some strategic steps already carried out during the Labs execution at the completion of each module or at the completion of the course at least. I highly recommend that approach. My last remark is due to the fact that, sometime, the translation of the Lab Reviews shows some typos, visible when the student chooses to display the spoken.

I have a problem with the Lab Automating the Infrastructure of networks using Terraform.

I folled this step by step but, when I have to use the command "terraform apply" even if the file mynetwork.tf was exactly how its explain in the Demo's Lab, I had an error with this json section:

resource "google_compute_network" "mynetwork" {

name = "mynetwork"

auto_create_subnetworks = true

}

The error was an invalid JSON input, I aready send an email with this error, in January 3rd, but I don't have anwser yet.

Even with that error, I recomended this Lab: I have so much fun with the videos and the others Labs

This course gives you a good practical knowledge of how VPC networks in GCP works. It has one of the best lab exercises where you'll create a vpc, subnets, firewall rules and explore how the connectivity works between resources in different zones, regions, networks, projects in VPC. One drawback is this course have very few quizzes, barely 6 questions. It would have been great if they had multiple quizzes which would test our understanding. However the labs are really great and would help you to gain a lot of practical knowledge on GCP services.

Good course, only thing that I see different is the quiz question "Which statement is true of Virtual Machine Instances in Google Compute Engine?": A VM in Compute Engine always maps to a single hardware computer in a rack -> this is true, I think I know this. "In compute Engine, a VM is networked service that simulates the features of a computer" -> according to wikipedia, the word "simulate" does not reflect what happens, it has to be "virtualizes", so this is wrong. The other two options are bogus.
