Now we haven't even written our first ad and Google's already asking us about ad extensions. They love those ad extensions. They love it. They know it's going to get us more clicks. They know it's going to get them more money. It's going to get us more visitors. What do we do about ad extensions? Let's real quick go through all three of these. Okay. Sitelinks, so those ones I remember from earlier where it's now letting the user click right into different pages within my site from the lesson. Yeah. So again, I like my sitelinks to mimics some site architecture. So if there's a couple different types of commercial roofs. There's TPO commercial roofs, that's a particular type of surface. There's black top tar types of commercial roofs. There's vinyl commercial roofs. If I've got a page for each of those different types of commercial roof products, I might want to drop a user directly on that. So if I'm searching for commercial roof and I already know I want a TPO synthetic membrane commercial roof, if it shows me that as a sitelink, instead of clicking going to your homepage, I can go right into that section. So we could write several sitelinks that map to this. I don't know that we want to take the time to do that right now, but that's how I would investigate my sitelinks. Typically, Google will show at least two on rotation up to four. So you have to enter two, otherwise, just from a graphic design, they won't show just one. So make sure you've got two. You're not limited by the URLs that you use. If you want all your sitelinks to still go to the same page, you can do it. It's not considered a best practice. They will give preference to a sitelink that gives the user a better experience, lands them deeper in your site, and connects some of the content they're looking for. Okay, great. So once we get the site all set up, we can come back and put those links all in at a later date. Absolutely. Excellent. Then you've got callouts. Callouts. Yeah. So callouts, I thought this was a cheeky thing that Google did. If you got a really simple site that you don't necessarily want to link to specific deep pages, you could just call out facets of your business, triple a approved, gold star award winning contractor. It's really just a chance for you to brag a little bit about your business and why somebody should click. If they actually click on that, they're going to still arrive at the same page. But your callout allows you to brag about yourself a little bit. They seem like little billboard signs around that. Exactly. Taking about the lesson. Voted best in Denver, four years running, that could be a callout link. You typically can't get to hyperbolic with the language. They will reject it if you make absurd claims. Best in Denver. Best roofing company in the planet. Unless you can back that with an article that it links through, you could do that in a sitelink. But if you can't back your claim, they don't want you using that hyperbolic language. But you can talk about licensed and insured, winner of this award if they are true facts. You just can't say things like best ever. Cool. So over to the calls, I really like the call extensions. How do these work? They're really powerful. So you would put in the phone number that you want to use, and you can do this in a couple ways when you go into the advanced option. But first is you put in your regular phone number. It's going to ring in your office. They're going to immediately be able to connect. The way Google tracks this is more from mobile phone ads. You're going to do the search on your phone. You're looking for a commercial roofing company. You see the ad, if you click on it so that it immediately starts to dial, they will record that, and then we'll charge you for that like a click. But to you, it's probably even more valuable. I would rather have a customer talking with a salesperson than filling out a lead form, and then we have to call them anyway. Skipping a step, and the conversion funnel getting them right into a conversation. Get him right into a conversation. You can also go one step further which is this call reporting, and you've got this under advanced function. So what they'll do is they'll take your phone number and they'll clone it, and put a different number on top of it so that they know if anyone calls this number, the only way they got that number is via Google. Again, it's a great way for them to charge you for connecting you with a customer. But it does help. If you're then on the desktop, you'll know that call came from Google and you can say, "Oh, this is worth spending the money because it's driving not just clicks but phone calls." All right. That's great. So we can always add extensions later. But we're going to move right along to the second page.
